LiveO2

Dr. Colton Purscell · WLF Club, Fort Worth · New clients welcome

You can train your muscles, your heart, your lungs, but most people never train how well their body actually uses oxygen. LiveO2 in Fort Worth does exactly that: you exercise while breathing concentrated oxygen, then switch the supply to challenge your system in ways ordinary cardio can’t.

What LiveO2 oxygen training is

LiveO2 is an exercise-with-oxygen system (EWOT). You work out, usually on a bike, while breathing air with a much higher oxygen concentration than the room around you. The “adaptive contrast” version goes a step further, alternating between high-oxygen and low-oxygen air mid-session.

That high-low contrast is the interesting part. Brief swings between oxygen-rich and oxygen-reduced breathing are designed to push your circulatory and respiratory systems to adapt, similar in spirit to the intermittent altitude-style training used to build endurance capacity.

“PEMF + Oxygen + Red light, then ARX or Vasper, then sauna and cold plunge, all in an hour.”

Who it’s built for

  • Endurance athletes building aerobic capacity
  • Adults who want to challenge cardiovascular fitness in a low-impact way
  • People rebuilding stamina who need intensity dialed carefully
  • Anyone curious about training the oxygen-delivery side of fitness

The honest take on the science

The core of LiveO2 is exercise with oxygen. In one cycling study, breathing 40% oxygen during a 20 km time trial improved performance by about 5%, driven by greater muscle activation at the same perceived effort (study on exercise with elevated oxygen). The adaptive-contrast version adds brief low-oxygen swings on top of that, borrowing from altitude-style training. The branded LiveO2 system has limited independent published research, so here’s the honest line: it’s a demanding, low-impact way to train your aerobic engine, and we won’t claim more than the evidence shows.

The fitness most people ignore is how efficiently the body moves oxygen. That’s trainable, and it’s what LiveO2 targets.

LiveO2 is part of WLF’s performance program in Fort Worth and pairs well with Vasper compressed exercise and the recovery suite.
